… for reminding us to appreciate our relationships.

Well, I’m sure that you’ve seen the ads for Valentine’s Day. The stores have been decked out for weeks. So, there’s no excuse for not giving a gift or card.

Some say that special days like Valentine’s were invented by the greeting card industry to spike sales. I don’t know if that’s true, but I do know that it can be a Great time for a spike in love and appreciation.

Who are some of the people in your life that you appreciate?
– A Special Friend
– Your Special Someone
– A Co-worker or Colleague
– Your Boss (Yes, it’s possible to appreciate your boss.)
– A Mentor or Teacher
– Your Family Members
– A Special Customer or Supplier
– Your Coach (Sorry, I couldn’t resist.)

Whoever they are, Valentine’s Day is a Great occasion to let them know that you appreciate them.

Now don’t tell the greeting card companies and retailers, but sometimes a phone call and a few words of appreciation can mean more to someone that a gift or a card. (However, let me qualify this–for that special someone, I would not forego the gift and card…)

Time, the most precious gift one can give. Each moment is unique because it will never happen again…the gift of your time spent with others is the ultimate display of unconditional love.” –Robert W. Merriweather.
