Step 2: Describe why the goal is important to you.
So, what happens if you don’t reach your goal? Would you feel bad?
Wait. Let’s put a more positive spin on those questions. What will it feel like when you do reach your goal? Step 2 is your chance to dream big about reaching your goal and embracing the good feeling you’ll have when you reach it.
In Step 2 you are asked to fully describe the positive significance of reaching your goal and to make those feelings a part of your goal achievement action-plan. The bigger and more exciting the reasons you have for achieving the goal, the stronger you will grow your motivation for sticking to your plan and reaching the goal.
The important thing about this step is for you take time and really think about how you will feel when you reach the goal. Work to identify as many strong positive feelings about your goal as you can. This will strengthen your motivation, which will keep you moving towards your goal. Every day you must feel that strong burning desire to reach your goal.
