I was at an event the other day and met a prospect who asked me what I could do to help improve his sales results. Well of course it would be hard to answer that question in any depth without knowing his situation.

But what I was able to do is to share an overview of how I typically work with new clients to quickly improved sales. Here’s a little of what was in my follow-up message.

–I work with solo-entrepreneurs all the time and the first thing I ask them is to show me their sales targets and plans for reaching them.
Planning
As with all goals, these really must be on paper and reviewed every day if there’s going to be any chance of reaching them. So if you don’t have that let me know and we can talk about what that might look like for you.

It could be something as simple as this: Attend 4 networking events per week, to attract and talk with 50 qualified leads, follow-up with the 20 who turn out to be solid prospects, then close 2-3 new clients each week.

Of course, there’s more to the whole marketing/sales process than this but like I said, it’s a starting point. Once I know the client is taking consistent action and reviewing his/her numbers, then we polish the other strategies and techniques they’re using.

I hope this helps. And when you’re ready to step up your sales game through coaching, call me for your free introductory session and we’ll get started.–

So, the bottom line is that there are plenty of strategies solo-entrepreneurs can use to boost their sales. But the key is to make sure they are in writing and reviewed on a daily basis.
