What can you do in a minute?
You can set the direction of your day!
One of the biggest areas that I work on with clients is focus. This means working with the client to get clear about what’s most important. That clarity increases the client’s effectiveness and motivations towards their goal.
An example of how to develop focus is when the client and I set an intention for the coaching session at the very start. Identifying an intention creates focus and promotes effective discussions that lead to the client’s desired outcome.
You can use this technique to guide the direction of your day. Take a minute each morning to focus on and set an intention for your day. This will improve the effectiveness of your actions.
Here are a few examples to get you thinking as you identify a few of your own for tomorrow.
Today, I will…
•Reach out to a friend that I haven’t spoken to in a while.
•Set a lunch date with someone who can teach me something.
•Look forward to and enjoy meeting with new prospects.
•Be happy, laugh often, and look for ways to have fun.
Think of it this way, when you take a vacation you typically start by deciding on a destination. Start each day with a clear idea of what you want, and you will set things in motion to arrive at your destination. Take a minute to create the focus for your day!
BTW, the Free Action-Plan Builder on my Website is a Great way to focus your activities and get clear on what you want to achieve. Give it a try!
I wish for you all the success that you strive to achieve.
