An article in the Wall Street Journal today outlined just how little Americans move in a typical day. This is important as we struggle to stay healthy and keep heart disease or diabetes at bay. According to the article, too much sitting during the day can offset the benefits of regular exercise throughout the week.
One line however, reminded me how working with a life coach, health coach or trainer can help. Motivation for being more active can be increased when someone is working towards and charting progress to reach a goal. And of course, helping clients to identify and set goals is a primary function of all coaches.
Goal setting and life coaching aren’t just good for creating the lifestyle you want, they are Great for your health!
–So get a goal and get moving.
