If so, do you ask?
Previously, I wrote about Relationship Circles, the importance of finding supporters and nurturing those relationships.
In our Remarkable Relationships workshop we talked about ways to keep our relationships strong and happy.
And one way comes up over and over again. Communication.
That’s right. We understand the importance of being heard and listening to others in our relationships. But so often we forget that sometimes it takes a question to start the conversation.
It may be a fun thing to say, “We are so in sync, we know what each other’s thinking.” But, it can also cause confusion and resentment when we guess wrong.
So, what about you? Do you go through the day guessing what others are thinking? Or do you go for the clarity and start the conversation?
Assumptions are the termites of relationships. –Henry Winkler
