Success Habit: Always, plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early.

Tim always felt stressed-out about the appointments on his calendar. Every time he left for a meeting, he worried that he might be late.

He constantly complained about traffic, and all the inconsiderate drivers on the road; how the lights always seemed to be red when he needed to be somewhere important; and to make matters worse, he could never find a parking space close to the building’s entrance.

It was so much of a problem that Tim was always frazzled and grumpy by the time he got to his meeting.

Then one day, his coach asked him to think about what it might be like to leave 15 minutes earlier for his appointments. Tim thought this was silly, but decided to give it a try.

After a while, Tim noticed that traffic seemed lighter, he couldn’t remember how many red lights he saw and had to stop at, and he was always lucky enough to find a parking space right by the front door of the building.

And, another interesting think happened. Tim began to have a better time at his meetings and felt they were more productive… All from 15 minutes.
